2010 in Review

BF and I were out at our traditional NYE dinner and we were recapping the year. I thought I'd write it out here so I wouldn't forget anything.

January

BF and I took a trip to Florida to visit his grandparents and mom (who both have houses down there… we're so lucky that his family has vacation homes in so many places!). It was a low key trip (just a few rounds of golf, and hanging out at the house), but it was really great to hang out with such amazing people! This was the month where we started our sugar free diet that lasted two months. I'm seriously glad we did this, and I think I should probably do it again soon. Oh, and we also went to Disneyland for the first time, which was a blast!

February

This must have been a boring month, because all I can remember is that we had a really great Valentines Day dinner! I also did a freelance project which netted me a little extra cash. The project is still in the works, so hopefully the rest of my money will come in in 2011!

March

I paid off my car!! This was definitely a huge deal for me. We also went to Disneyland with BFs mom and a bunch of friends, which was a lot of fun.

April

My grandmother passed away. We weren't close (I only saw her once a year growing up, and hadn't seen her in probably 8 years since), but it was still very sad. She was a wonderful woman.

May

We moved! I will forever be grateful that we finally ditched the AWFULNESS of roommates, and got our own place. I seriously don't even mind that our rent more than doubled. It was THAT good! Oh, and my bf gifted me an ipad! It's seriously one of the best things ever. And the end of an era… LOST had it's last season. And I am still super pissed at the total cop out of an ending, but the show itself was so amazing that I guess I'll have to move on :-)

June

Getting hit with a 4 figure dental bill… which I am still pissed off about. But I did make a new girlfriend, which was wonderful! It's really hard for me to meet new gal pals, so this was a good thing :-)

July

We took a 10 day trip back to the East Coast! This was probably one of the best trips we've ever taken. Between a trip to NYC, Marthas Vineyard, and several days playing golf and hanging out on Cape Cod, plus a few days hanging out in BFs hometown, it was definitely an amazing vacation!

August

This month is a black hole for me. I have absolutely no clue what happened! I suppose nothing out of the ordinary…

September

We celebrated our 7 year anniversary!

October

My cousin got married… but I didn't go. I guess this must have been a very boring month, because I can't remember much else. Which is embarrassing, since it was so recent.

November

BF and I took a trip to San Diego! While it was a very short one, it was really fun! We had never been to SD together before (but have been separately) so it was fun to experience something new as a couple.

December

Our Christmas trip back East. This was a really fun time, and probably the most memorable was the blizzard! I haven't seen snow in about 3 years, so as much as I abhor the cold, icy, slushy mess that is the East Coast in winter, I REALLY enjoyed it! Mainly because I flew into SoCal a few days later and was greeted by palm trees :-)
